The Government Relations Association (GRA), the fastest growing association representing the lobbying, GR, fundraising, grassroots practitioner and public policy advocacy community, is privileged to announce the 106th "Meet the Member" event in our popular series. Please join us when we host Cong. Kweisi Mfume (MD-07) on Thursday May 2nd at 12:00 noon for a lively luncheon discussion.

Cong. Mfume attended Morgan State University in Baltimore graduating magna cum laude with a degree in political science.  He later went on to become an adjunct professor at Morgan State.  He also received a Masters Degree in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University.  He was elected to his first career in Congress at the age of 38.  He then went on to serve as the CEO of the NAACP in 1996, and after the passing of Cong. Elijah Cummings, he won the special election to fill his seat and has served that district since May 2020. 

He currently serves on the key committees of:
House Oversight & Accountability (Ranking Minority Member)
House Small Business
