You are invited to attend breakfast with Cong. Gus Bilirakis

Date and Time:
 Tuesday, July 17th, 2018 | 8:30 AM

Overview: Cong. Gus Bilirakis is a life-long Floridian, born in Gainesville, schooled in Tampa Bay public schools and where he worked in his grandfather's bakery.  He later attended the University of Florida graduating in 1986, and went on to receive his JD from Stetson University in 1989.  He then formed the law firm of Bilirakis Law Group where he practiced wills, trusts and estate planning.

Cong. Bilirakis learned about politics early, mostly from his father, Cong. Mike Bilirakis, who served in Congress from 1983 to 2006 -- the same year that Gus transitioned from serving in the Florida House of Representatives to serving in the US Congress.  Gus was elected to Congress in 2006 and is currently serving in his 6th term representing Florida's 12th Congressional District.

Cong. Bilirakis now serves on the Energy & Commerce Committee, and is Vice Chair of the Veterans' Affairs Committee -- two committees of vital importance to his Florida constituents.  He has been a leader on such issues as Veterans' benefits, homeland security, education, health care and strengthening both Social Security and Medicare.
