Overview: GRA is pleased to announce the kick-off "Meet the Member" event for 2020 -- lunch with local Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA).  This will also be GRA's 40th Member of Congress to meet with our members! 

Cong. Gerry Connolly is a member of:

    House Foreign Affairs Committee (subs. on Middle East & North Africa; Asia & Pacific)

    House Oversight and Reform (Chair of Gov't Operations).

Cong. Connolly is serving his 6th term in the US House after having served 14 years on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors -- including 5 years as its chairman. 

He earned his BA in Literature from Maryknoll College in 1971, and his MPA from Harvard University in 1979.  He subsequently served on the staff of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for 10 years (1979-1989) with a focus on, among other issues, the Mideast, Central America and narcotics control.  Following his work as a staffer on the committee he worked for SRI International and SAIC before beginning his work as an elected official in public service.  In addition to his committee assignments he is currently also a member of the Caucus on US-Turkey Relations, Caucus on Taiwan, Caucus on Korea, and Chairman of the US delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
