Overview: Cong. Gaetz graduated from Florida State University in 2003, and from the College of William and Mary with his JD in 2007.  Soon thereafter he served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016, and was elected to the US House of Representatives in 2016. He currently serves on the committees on Armed Services, Budget and Judiciary, and is a member of the caucuses on Climate Solutions; Animal Protection; and Robotics.

He is an attorney by trade, and in Congress has built a reputation of focusing on such issues as national security, trade, regulatory reform, and constitutional principles.
