Overview:   Congressman Schweikert is currently serving his 5th term in Congress after having served in several public service positions in his home state as well as having built a successful real estate business in Arizona.  His strong background in finance began by earning his BA in finance and real estate in 1985 from Arizona State University, and an MBA also from ASU in 2005.

Cong. Schweikert served two terms in the AZ State House of Representatives (1991-94), chairman of the state Board of Equalization (1995-2004), and was elected Maricopa County Treasurer (2004-2007).   He ran for Congress in 2010 and was sworn into office in January 2011.  In Congress he has built a reputation for being a budget hawk, promoting jobs and the health of the US economy, focusing on tax policy and on supporting strong trade practices.  He also has been active on such issues as addressing the opioid epidemic, strengthening our nation's health care and supporting the many caucuses of which he is a member -- Law Enforcement; Congressional Taiwan; US-Japan; and Climate Solutions, among several others.
